[Top Ten Tuesday: I've Only Read One Of Their Books, But I NEED To Read More]

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly linkup hosted by The Broke And The Bookish!

You know what? This list was way to easy to make. I have this thing, I read the first book of a series and then I get busy and I don't finish them. I tend to do better when I binge read series, that could be part of my problem. Anyway, there are series that I need to finish on this list, but there are also author's who write standalones on here. Picking ten was pretty hard, but here they are...

Marissa Meyer: I know, I know. I loved Cinder to pieces and I own the other books in the Lunar Chronicles that have come out, but I just haven't made time to read Scarlet and Cress yet. I promise it'll happen soon though.

Kate Jarvik Birch: I really enjoyed Deliver Me, it was so sad and mainly a buddy story and what's not to love about that? I have Perfected on my Kindle and plan on reading it this weekend on the plane to Amsterdam, so she'll soon be off this list.

Simmone Howell: I just read Girl Defective and it's one of my favorite reads of the year. Basically, if she writes it, I'll read it. I just need to get the rest of her books.

Cat Winters: In the Shadow of Blackbirds was my book last year. I loved it on so many levels and Winter's latest book is on my October TBR. Needless to say I can't wait to read it!

Lili St. Crow: Nameless blew me away. It weirded a lot of people out, but I lurved it a lot. I have the second book in her trilogy on my Kindle and I hope to get to it soon!

Leila Sales: I was so excited about This Song Will Save Your Life. It's about a teenage DJ. What book says Christianna more then that one? So, it's sad that this book still sits on my self unread. But I did read Past Perfect and adored it!

A.G. Gaughen: Scarlet was amazing and Lady Thief is another book that just sits on my shelf waiting for the day when I read it...

Carrie Ryan: Gah, Forest of Hands and Teeth was so good! I have the rest of the trilogy and I hope that I get to it in October. Because zombies are a good fit for Halloween!

Jillian Larkin: Vixen was a book that I picked up in Ireland to read on the plane home. It was good fun and I've collected the rest of the series since then, I just haven't read them...

Jessi Kriby: Golden was pretty wonderful and I've heard wonderful things about the rest of her books, so I'll read them when I need a contemporary fix!

[Top Ten Tuesday: New To Me Authors That I Read In 2013]

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly linkup hosted by The Broke And The Bookish!

I read so many awesome new authors this year.  Both new to write in general and some of them were just new to me.  The fact is that I've now found some awesome new authors that I know I will support fully for a long time.  Trying to only pick 10 is a gnarly business and I wasn't sure who would make the final cut, but these are the ones who get a spot of my list along with their books that earned them their spots!

Marissa Meyer!

Cat Winters!

Jennifer Salvato Doktorski!

Emily Murdoch!

Carrie Ryan!

Cora Carmack!

Lili St. Crow!

Elizabeth Wein!

Rae Carson!

Mindy McGinnis!

Honorable Mentions (cause some of these I read in 2012, even if I reviewed them in 2013)

Helen Boswell, Sarah Fine and Leigh Talbert Moore!

[Top Ten Tuesday: Authors That You Need To Know About]

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly linkup hosted by The Broke And The Bookish!

I'm so excited for this weeks Top Ten!  I think that there are so many wonderful authors out there that people just don't know about.  So many Indie authors who put in a ton of work that need to be acknowledged and some traditionally published authors that have managed to slip under the radar.  This list brings me so much pleasure.  And so without anymore stalling or word fillers, here are the authors that make my list!

P.S. the link will take you each author's Amazon page!  All the easier for buying their brilliant books with!

Helen has a wonderfully vivid imagination.  Her first novel "Mythology" is full of some amazing characters and she has an interesting twist on the whole angels, daemons and humans story.  I can't wait till "Mythology: The Wicked" releases!  Plus she's one of the most pleasant people you will ever chat with.

Not only is this girl the brilliant brain behind her NA novel "Flight", but she's also my CRIT partner!  Everything that I've read by her is top notch and trust me, she's one to look out for.  She's got things in the works that will appeal to everyone!

I haven't read a single book from Allie that I haven't liked.  She's got a flare for telling a story in a way that only she can.  Her contemporaries are great fun and I'm excited to read more.  And on top of it all, she also does cover design that is to die for!

Leigh's book "Rouge" was the very first NA book that I ever read and I knew I was going to be a fan from that moment on.  She's got this way of writing that just sucks you right in and makes you feel everything that her characters do.

Sarah's book "Sanctum" was my favorite read of 2012!  To say it was brilliant would be an understatement.  She built a world that was both terrifying and hope building at the same time and that is a feat in and of itself!

Anne is a local and that's just awesome to me!  Her book "The Last Academy" made me feel stupid, in a good way.  I didn't know that she was giving me all of the clues to what the mystery of her book was, until I was looking at the answer.  I love that feeling!

I love this woman's writing style.  It's so simple and completely complex.  I haven't read as much of her stuff as I would like, but I have quite a bit of her stuff.  She also has an interesting look on angel lore!

I feel like a lot of people might know who A. G. is, but I wanted to give her a shout out anyways!  Cause you never know who your readers might have missed.  She wrote this awesome and dark retelling of Alice in Wonderland called "Splintered" and you should read it!

Cat's book "In the Shadow of Blackbirds" is everything that I love in a novel!  I can't say enough great things about her or her book.  If you haven't read it, remedy that.

You want a nerdy book?  Leah will deliver in so many ways.  Her first book "The Summer I Became A Nerd" even had live action role play in it.  Plus it was just one of the cutest things ever!

So in my opinion these women all deserve large rounds of applause and maybe even some fan fair.  Check out their books, buy them, read them and spread the word about their greatness!
