[Top Ten Tuesday: It's All About The Endings That Get To Me]

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly linkup hosted by The Broke And The Bookish!

So, this weeks theme was beginnings and ending to books that we just love!  I have to admit that I'm much more of an ending person.  I great ending can turn a book that I wasn't that excited for into a book that I will love for the rest of my life.  A good ending, when you mix it with a well written story is just as good of a feeling!  And every once in awhile you get a beginning that is just as awesome as the rest of the book!  And every once in awhile an ending will leave you wanting.  As you can tell this list is going to be a little bit unorthodox, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

In The Beginning:
"Going Bovine" by Libba Bray
This is one of the few books that had me rolling on the ground with tears streaming down my face in less than three minutes!  That's how funny the first chapter of the book is.  But don't worry it doesn't stop there, the rest of the book is just as good and the ending is actually beautiful and a little bit weepy!

This Is The End:
"Dangerous Girls" by Abigail Haas
This book!  This book is so well written and literally leaves you contemplating your sanity until the very last seconds.  I won't say any more, but read this book!

"Neverwhere" by Neil Gaiman
I love every ounce of this book, but when it ends I never want it to be over.  At the same time I always fall in love with the open ended, yet completed ending that Gaiman gives us here!  It's so simple and it's perfect!

"The Last Academy" by Anne Applegate
I feel like she gave you all of the clues to the end of this story, but if you didn't know what to look for, the ending still surprises you.  This story is well crafted and has an ending that had my jaw on the floor.  I'm giving away a signed, personalized copy HERE!

"The Sweetest Dark" by Shana Abe
I give Shana some major props on how she ended this book!  Not many people have the guts to do what she did and even though I loved the whole of this book, the end made me respect her as an author!

"If You Find Me" by Emily Murdoch
This book ripped my heart out and I loved it.  But it was the beauty of the ending that really got to me.  Those last few pages, were some of the most beautifully hopeful and sad words I've ever read and it left me tears streaming down my face!

 "Gorgeous" by Paul Rudnick
Though I wouldn't necessarily count this book as YA (even though that's what the rest of world is calling it) this book was awesome!  The end was the perfect, messy, happy ending that I wanted for this hot mess of a fairytale!

   "Sanctum" by Sarah Fine
Hahahaha, Sarah tricked me out on this ending and I almost lost it.  But then all was right with the world, or was it?  Who knows?  Well the people who have read this one know and the rest of you need to pick this one as soon as possible.

"The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova
This is possibly of my personal favorite endings in all of the books that I have ever read.  It blows your mind in the very last pages.  You think that everything is all finished and then just like that... well you'll just have to read this one.  It's huge, but it's worth it.

What The Hell Was That Ending:
"Thorn Abbey" by Nancy Ohlin
Good Lord, you guys the ending of this book.  If you've read it, you know what I'm talking about.  It's the weirdest thing on the face of this planet and I don't mean that in a way that should ever be thought of as good.  It's perfectly terrible, but it's forever ingrained in my mind...
Well there's my list!  What's on yours?  I wanna know.  Leave your link below or tell me in the comments!

If I did this meme, Dangerous Girls and If You Find me would definitely be on my life. The ending of DG literally made my jaw drop. Loved it!

I read The Historian so many years ago and remember loving it, but I can't remember the ending! Lol! If You Find Me was so emotional and just made me want to wring that mother's neck!! But I'm happy with how things turned out. Great list here, Christianna! :)

I am the same with endings. I can think the book is just okay and then the end happens and it blows me away and is one of my favourites forever! I agree...loved the ending of both Neverwhere and The Sweetest Dark. I loved them both before but the endings... Makes me want to clutch my heart and fly (haha...if you know what I mean :)).
