[Top Ten Tuesday: Books That Will Make You Weep Like A Baby]

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly linkup hosted by The Broke And The Bookish!

This week it's all about the books that make us ball our eyes out!  Of course there are more than just ten books that have made me cry.  I get emotional when I read sometimes, but these are the books I could think of that had tears pouring down my face like Niagara Falls.  Shockingly enough, I've actually read quite a few of these in public too.  I don't know why that happens, but it does.  You're welcome world for the water works shows and the ugly faces, brought to you by these books!

"Code Name Verity" and "Rose Under Fire" by Elizabeth Wein:
These are personal favorites and I know they show up on almost all my lists, but they are just that wonderful and war filled and tear inducing that they had to be on this list!

"If I Stay" and "Where She Went" by Gayle Forman:
Speaking of water work shows.  I read these books as I traveled around Europe and I was the crazy American ugly crying on Planes, Trains and Boats.  These are just so touching!

"The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins:
I pretty much cried through parts of the whole trilogy, but can you say Rue.  I think that even now every time I think about her my eyes get a little watery.

"The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton:
Do I need to say anything other than "Stay golden Pony Boy?"  Do I?

"If You Find Me" by Emily Murdoch:
The writing and the story were both so heartbreaking and yet so beautiful and heartfelt that this one had me weeping by the last pages.  Such a great book!

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky:
Charlie is just one of those characters that makes your heart break a little bit.  But he's also really awesome as well.  Also, fun fact, Chbosky wrote the screenplay for the movie version of RENT, which is also a tearjerker.

"Sanctum" by Sarah Fine:
Holy, crazy, awesome, Batman!  This book is so good on so many levels, but it totally had the tears rolling at different points.  From suicide to self sacrifice, this one has it all.

"Going Bovine" by Libba Bray:
Sure this book had me gut laughing, but it also had some of the most beautiful, tear forming scenes in it.  And the end will make a least a few saltwater streams trickle out of your eyes.

Well there's my list!  What's on yours?  I wanna know.  Leave your link below or tell me in the comments!

Good list, The Hunger Games made me cry as well especially for Rue's death and The Perks of Being a Wallflower is my favorite book and I'm pretty sure I cried near the end of it as well.

If I Stay is definitely a tearjerker - such a wonderfully written book. I hate to admit it but I've never read The Outsiders although it was mentioned in something I read/watched recently...can't remember what though. Anyway, I must get a copy!

I don't think The Perks of Being a Wallflower made me cry...but I LOVE that book! And I own If I Stay by Gayle Forman and can't wait to read it! I'll have to remember to break out the tissues when I start that one. I really want to read Code Name Verity and If You Find Me, too.

Oh, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. That book affected me in such a deep way when I read it like, A HUNDRED times in high school. It makes me cry every time.

Oh yeah The Outsiders- I saw the movie long before I ever read the book, but yes that's an emotional moment.

Definitely gonna have to read Rose Under Fire now! I have the book but I honestly haven't read it yet (I know I suck). Definitely sounds like a great story though, and I love stories taking place during WWII (which is when I think both take place, right?)

Great picks. If I Stay made my list, that book makes me cry every time. I loved The Perks of Being A Wallflower, such a sad but beautiful book. My TTT :)

I put Mockingjay on my list, but I totally cried in the Rue part of Hunger Games too. And I'm fairly certain I cried at The Perks of Being a Wallflower too - I forgot about that one!

Outsiders! Yes! How could I forget this? I've read the book a dozen times and everytime that line, that one little line, gets me.
