[Waiting On Wednesday: Dorothy Must Die!]

Waiting On Wednesday happens every week on Wednesdays (hence the name) and is hosted by Breaking The Spine.  It's were people talk about the books they want to read about that aren't out yet.

My pick this week is...

"Dorothy Must Die"
Author: Danielle Paige
Release Date: April 1st, 2014

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary:

I didn't ask for any of this. I didn't ask to be some kind of hero.
But when your whole life gets swept up by a tornado—taking you with it—you have no choice but to go along, you know?

Sure, I've read the books. I've seen the movies. I know the song about the rainbow and the happy little blue birds. But I never expected Oz to look like this. To be a place where Good Witches can't be trusted, Wicked Witches may just be the good guys, and winged monkeys can be executed for acts of rebellion. There's still the yellow brick road, though—but even that's crumbling.
What happened?
Dorothy. They say she found a way to come back to Oz. They say she seized power and the power went to her head. And now no one is safe.

My name is Amy Gumm—and I'm the other girl from Kansas.
I've been recruited by the Revolutionary Order of the Wicked.
I've been trained to fight.
And I have a mission:
Remove the Tin Woodman's heart.
Steal the Scarecrow's brain.
Take the Lion's courage.
Then and only then—Dorothy must die!

Guys, I'm already fangirling over this book and it's not even available as an ARC yet (if it is and I don't know about it, tell me)  I love everything OZ related and I always have.  I can sing all of Wicked from heart, and all of Wizard.  I love Wizard of Oz and Return To Oz and even the Sci-Fi mini series Tin Man.  Needless to say I'm a fan of the world, so I needs this book.  I needs it NOW!

What are you waiting on this week?  I wanna know!

WANT!!!! OMG! This seems like a wonderful book to come out, especially with the popularity of Once Upon A Time and Lunar Chronicles. I love this new wave of alternative takes on classic literature like this :)

I bought it. I bought the novella that comes out in November. Now I'm just going to be bouncing up and down waiting for April.

I'm so obsessed with Wizard of Oz. So much in fact that I now have my kids obsessed. My five year old daughter is going to be Dorothy for Halloween!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for promo'ing this!

P.S. Sorry for the above fangirling gush. I'm just REALLY excited about this one!
