Release Date: August 20th, 2013

Summary:
Asylum is a thrilling and creepy photo-novel perfect for fans of the New York Times bestseller Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.
For sixteen-year-old Dan Crawford, New Hampshire College Prep is more than a summer program—it's a lifeline. An outcast at his high school, Dan is excited to finally make some friends in his last summer before college. But when he arrives at the program, Dan learns that his dorm for the summer used to be a sanatorium, more commonly known as an asylum. And not just any asylum—a last resort for the criminally insane.
As Dan and his new friends, Abby and Jordan, explore the hidden recesses of their creepy summer home, they soon discover it's no coincidence that the three of them ended up here. Because the asylum holds the key to a terrifying past. And there are some secrets that refuse to stay buried.
Featuring found photos of unsettling history and real abandoned asylums and filled with chilling mystery and page-turning suspense, Madeleine Roux's teen debut, Asylum, is a horror story that treads the line between genius and insanity.

I love Gothic horror novels and this one sounds like it's going to be a winner. Also, I love that it features a male POV! I love those when they are done correctly! Plus, adding horrifying real life pictures always adds a really cool touch to a book that is supposed to be scary. I'm hoping that this one freaks me out!
What are you waiting on this week? I wanna know!

I have seen this one only few days ago and it sounds so scary. I'm not a huge fan of scary books but I'm curious about this one. Great pick :)
Our WOW post
This sounds creepily awesome. I have a thing for abandoned places and asylums.
The photos lend an interesting feel to the book. I liked that part of Miss Peregrine's Home... An asylum is a good setting for this thriller type book too. I may have to give this one a try.
I Can't Wait to Read...
Really awesome pick. Thanks for sharing :)

Oooh yes. I'm so curious about this one because it sounds mysterious and creepy and you know after ItSoB I love me some pictures interspersed in the novel! Great choice!
I have an e-arc of this on my Kindle and have kind of glanced through it. I love it when books have something extra to look at--like creepy photos. I haven't been able to get into it yet, but I'm definitely excited. Great pick!
Oooh, this sounds really creepy! Thanks for sharing.

I was really looking forward to this one, too, but unfortunately I've heard it's really, really bad. :(

You had me at Asylum. Just added it. But that cover! Gives me the creeps.
Thanks for stopping by mine. :)
Oh goodness this one would probably give me nightmares! I don't know if I can read it, I try to avoid most things horrifying. But if I wasn't afraid of everything my interest would most definitely be piqued!
