My Character Interview With Jordyn:
(So I was really excited when I got to sit down and have a chat with the main character of The Daemon Hunter novels herself.  She clues us in to a few of the things that may or may not be coming for us in the next installment and tells us more about the men in her life!)

So Jordyn, on your 5 weeks off on your own, what was your favorite place that you visited?

After everything that happened, I needed to get away to think. I wasn't traveling to site-see. I wanted solace. The beaches in Costa Rica are absolutely mesmerizing. Soft sand with crystal blue warm water. Anyone could lose themselves there like I did.

I just have to ask, can you give us some more details about Anthony?  I mean we know he can create a killer tattoo, but what else can you tell us?

Anthony is a big dude—I mean, big, but gentle as a teddy bear. We're really still getting to know each other. Anthony is one of those don't ask don't tell types of guys. Very private. If you went to party, he'd be the guy in the corner just observing, but not in a creepy way. Because of his size, and how quiet he is, he looks like someone of great importance that you would feel uncomfortable approaching.

Okay, so you get back home and everything is different.  What were your first thoughts on Boon?  He seems like a cool kid.

Boon is way cool. He and I hit it off immediately. Anyone that likes to cut it up a little like he does is okay in my book. It breaks my heart though to think about what Boon had to endure from his father. I have this fantasy that I would like to find his dad and break everyone of his fingers one by one. You don't know how hard it is for me to not actually go do it. At least Boon is in a good place now.

Training, it sounds like it was a bitch, what's the worst injury you've ever gotten?

The worst pain I've endured came when Kale grabbed me and literally burned my skin away to the bone. Then I had to endure the same pain again from Emrys during training. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have an arch angel to heal your injuries. Which by the way, it's freaky to watch your skin growing back right before your eyes.

Can you tell us why you get all mushy inside when Emrys' kisses you?
That jerk can only do that to me because of his abilities. I mean, he is a Soul Trader. They have a way of making people agreeable if you know what I mean. Of course, his looks, hot bod, and that tantalizing tattoo don't hurt. I can't tell him that though. His ego is big enough already.

Speaking of Emrys... tell us something that none of us know about him...

He visits his dead father's grave for every holiday. There is still a lot about Emrys's past I don't know. For some reason, he blames himself for his father's passing. It's like Emrys feels like he is paying for his own past sins by visiting his father's grave.

Do you know where you're going to end up in book three?  Give us a little inside scoop, if you can?

I would like to find out more about the girl whose body I took over when she passed away. Whether or not that happens, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

[Mythology Blog Tour: Tweets With Jonathan Draper and Giveaway]

 When Helen annouced that she was having a tour for her first novel "Mythology" I knew that I had to be a part of it!  Not only have I already read the novel and loved it so much that I gave it 5 unicorns, I have also developed somewhat of a crush on one of her well written characters.  Helen and I have been twitter pals for quite some time and I happen to know that one of her characters in the 2nd "Mythology" novel shares my name!  But lets get back to the crush, shall we.  I'm talking about angel Jonathan Draper!  Jonathan even has a twitter account and accepted my request to be interviewed via twitter.  He's a man of few words, so that 140 character limit felt comfortable for him and he rocked it!  Let's talk about the book first though, before introducing you to the man.

My Twitter Interview With Jonathan Draper:
(click on the links to add us all on Twitter)

@BlueBowGrl (Christianna Marks/Me)
So, I think we all wanna know. Why art as your day job?

@JG_Draper (Jonathan Draper)
I had an interest in art when I was mortal. Painting back then, photography today. (I do move with the times. Sometimes ;) )

@BlueBowGrl (Christianna Marks/Me)
Occasionally it seems. What is it about photography that you enjoy?

JG_Draper (Jonathan Draper)
Capturing unusual moments, people. I believe I told Hope that I like to "capture exemplary examples of the human species."

@BlueBowGrl (Christianna Marks/Me)
I remember that you did. Speaking of Hope... tell is about your first impression of her? We don't really your point of view.

@JG_Draper (Jonathan Draper)
 She is one of the exemplary ones. Something about her struck me right away. I cannot divulge what, but you will see in book 2 ;)

@BlueBowGrl (Christianna Marks/Me)
Oooo, book two! Do we get to meet more Guardians in that one? I mean I know it's about Hope and , but I want more.

@JG_Draper (Jonathan Draper)
Oh, yes. You will get to meet more guardians, demons, and..others. Such as your namesake, Christianna.

@brainz4christ (Christianna The Angel)
*coughs* *waves*

@BlueBowGrl (Christianna Marks/Me)
Guys I just crashed my own party. Sounds about right...

@BlueBowGrl (Christianna Marks/Me)
Can you tell us what she is? This Christianna character? (directed at Jonathan)

@JG_Draper (Jonathan Draper)
Christianna is a special kind of guardian. And not just because she favors sparkly lipstick.

@BlueBowGrl (Christianna Marks/Me)
 She sounds like a class angel. Just saying. But you, this is about you. So how do you feel about Hope and being...

... all together and what not? Do angels get jealous?

@JG_Draper (Jonathan Draper)
We experience the same emotions as we did when we were mortal, yes. This is why I don't normally let them get too close to...

 ...me in the emotional sense. Hope is different. Am I jealous? Naturally, but not in the way that you might think.

@BlueBowGrl (Christianna Marks/Me)
It's cause you like that Christianna girl! Also known as I want to know all of your secrets, but I'll settle for one. Spill...

@JG_Draper (Jonathan Draper)
Haha! Christianna and I did have a "relationship" three centuries ago (give or take), but that's not why ;)

@BlueBowGrl (Christianna Marks/Me)
Knew it! Is that the secret that you're going to share? Or do you have another one to add into the mix?

@JG_Draper (Jonathan Draper)
A had a daughter once. But she was taken away from my me and my wife during wartime.

@BlueBowGrl (Christianna Marks/Me)
Whoa, way to drop a bomb on the unsuspecting public there Jonathan!

@JG_Draper (Jonathan Draper)
Well, you wanted to know ;)

@BlueBowGrl (Christianna Marks/Me)
 That I did! So any last words for the readers out there? Other than a past relationship with my namesake and a kid?

@JG_Draper (Jonathan Draper)
Last words from an immortal? Perhaps this: Talk not of wasted affection; affection never was wasted. ;)
That is from my old friend Henry Longfellow, in case you were wondering.

@BlueBowGrl (Christianna Marks/Me)
Love it! Wonderful parting words! Thanks for winging it with me ;-)

@JG_Draper (Jonathan Draper)
Oh, yes, and of course... make sure you keep reading our books. That's what keeps us truly immortal.

@BlueBowGrl (Christianna Marks/Me)
 That I will! Need to know what happens with you and the rest of the gang!

@JG_Draper (Jonathan Draper)
Thank you, my dear Christianna. It was a pleasure. *kisses your hand* Shall we go get that sushi with now?

@BlueBowGrl (Christianna Marks/Me)
Hell yes! (pun intended)

@JG_Draper (Jonathan Draper)
Excellent! I'll get the car :)

@brainz4christ (Christianna The Angel)
*grabs hands* *runs* SUSHI

[Blog Tour: Never Forget by Emma Hart. Review, Character Interview and Giveaway]

"Never Forget"
Author: Emma Hart
Genre: Mature YA, New Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Date Published: February 22nd, 2013
Publisher: Self Published by Emma Hart
Format Read: eARC provided by author for honest review

----------------------------------------------------------
Summary:

A city girl.
A small town boy.
A summer they'll never forget.

Spending the summer at her Grammy's in Lilac Bay, Devon, is city girl Alexis 'Lexy' Edwards idea of hell. That is, until she reconnects with her childhood friend, Jen, and meets Alec Johnson. Alec is the kind of guy Lexy knows she needs to stay away from. He's the village flirt, ridiculously hot and very dangerous to her self control. But there's a problem – she can't seem to keep him out, even though she knows he'll break her heart.
As Alec slowly strips away Lexy's defenses and the two embark on a summer romance she never wanted, their feelings grow to more than either expected. But nothing lasts forever, and reality intrudes.
As her world is shaken to it's core, Lexy's self made prediction comes true when she discovers she's spent six weeks surrounded by secrets. Kept out by her family and the only guy she's ever trusted, she falls apart.
And when Grammy tells her that 'you might not end up where you wanted to be, but you'll always end up where you're meant to be,' she has to figure out if her meant to be is back home in London, or if it's been in Devon the whole time.

My Thoughts:

Never Forget was one of those books where everyone has a secret.  Some of them are small and don't really have much affect and some of them will change the lives of the characters forever.  Emma Hart weaves together a contemporary romance that is littered with wit, melancholy and loads of stubborn characters.

Within the first couple of sentences I guessed that the book was taking place in England and less than a few minutes later, my guess was backed up.  There is something about the wording of this book that makes my England loving soul extremely happy.  Whether it's a mention of "The Only Way Is Essex", chips (or fries) with curry sauce or some of the amazing sayings that they have.  I was pulled right in and loved every minute of it!

Lexi is such an interesting character because she seems uptight, but in all reality, she's not.  I like how we got to see her bloom into someone who, though she never changed, opened up.  It was nice to have a female lead not throw everything away for a cute boy, but rather add him into her life!

And I have to admit that I have mixed feelings about that cute boy.  At times I enjoyed Alec and in other moments I just wanted to tell him to get his shit together.  Though when things unfold in Chapter 10, you kind of get it.  I honestly wish that there would have been more moments like that in the book.  Loved it!

Even though I enjoyed Lexi and Alec's romance it was the secondary characters that really got to me!  Carl, Jen, Bing and Grammy were amazing!  I would love to know more about each of them.  Hart really adds a lot to her story with these crazy and rather fun secondary characters and it's so much fun to read scenes with them.

Just be warned that there is some very adult content in this book.

A Character Interview With Lexi's Dear Grammy!

#1. So Grammy, was it always part of the plan to throw Lexi and Alec together?
I'd be lying to you if I said no, dear, so yes it was. But oh boy, I didn't expect them to fall in love. I anticipated a little hanky panky, that's all.

#2. If you knew the kinds of semi pornographic thoughts that Alec was having about Lexi, would you have given him a high five or a high five in the face?
*giggles* high five.

#3. When was the moment when you knew that Lexi had finally decided to finally let Alec in?
Oh well I realised that before she did. It was, let me see... Oh they'd been in Devon for about a week. It's my old eyes, you see. Don't miss a thing these. Perfect for neighbourhood watch. *winks*

#4. How'd you know that Alec would be good for Lexi?
I didn't. *cackles* I knew she'd be good for him though. What the boy really needed was a good whack across the hands like in the olden days, but I shouldn't imagine anyone would have been impressed about that. Except maybe Greta. That's his Gran. She'd probably join me.

#5. You seem to be really good at keeping secrets.  Is it a trait you cultivated over the years, or was it passed down to you?
A woman's best kept secret is her age, and at my age, you've had plenty o' practice, love. Besides, it's not keeping a secret. I prefer to see it as omitting information.

#6. What did you think about the speech that Lexi gave at the end of the book?  Were you proud of her?
I've always been proud of her, even when she covered the white cat in red food colouring.
It was wonderful to watch her grow the way she did. She's a real little gem now is my Lexy girl.

#7. I've got to ask, did you ever actually find that Vino that they thought they had hidden so well?
*cackles again* of course I did, dear. What do you take me for? (It was in the broom cupboard in the kitchen.)

Thanks for stopping by today Grammy!

By day, Emma Hart dons a cape and calls herself Super Mum to a terrible two year old. By night, she drops the cape, pours a glass of wine and writes books.
She likes to write about magic, kisses and whatever else she can fit into the story. Sarcastic, witty characters are a must. As are hot guys. She has two new series planned as well as her New Adult Romance, Never Forget, due February 2013. She likes to be busy - unless busy involves doing the dishes.
Her debut YA series, The Mauve Legacy, is an Apple iBooks Bestseller - and this makes Emma excited.
